A true friend...

...doesn't mind when you invite her over for drinks and, although they may be lovely, they contain no alcohol.

(Although I suspect she did a shot with the Pretend Husband when he got home and I went to the bathroom.)

For all the preggos reading the blog these days (Kellie, I'm looking at you!), here's the awesome drink I threw together:
Equal parts orange juice and pineapple juice
A splash of ginger ale to make it fizzy
Grenadine, which, if you pour it over the back of a spoon, sinks to the bottom
A cherry
Drinking it out of a martini glass or champagne flute is a must.

that sounds yummy! I love the floating drinks that layer themselves.

Sounds and looks yummy.

What liquor can we add when we're done being a constant incubator? Vodka? Pineapple Rum? It's been way too long!!! What do adult beverages even taste like? More importantly, what the hell does it feel like to be drunk?!?

That sounds delicious, I don't drink alcohol anyway! I would miss being able to eat sushi or brie if they were still in my budget tho ; )

gee, is it me or does SJ look a little skeptical of nonalcoholic drinks...what a good friend to not drink in front of you! I wasn't surrounded by such considerate people during my pregnancies!

That looks delish! I had some mocktails at dinner and the bartenders were so nice to make them look like real martinis! And then you have the fun of making the other restaurant guests think you are poisoning your unborn child with alchohol! Tee hee! The little enjoyments we can get out of pregnancy. :)
