So, did you or didn't you?

So SJ dressed up for Halloween.

And "the cutest nephew in the world" dressed up for Halloween.

But me? I couldn't decide. I had pretty much figured I would hand out candy and admire costumes and be a good neighbor, but not be the weird childless woman who went all out on a costume. Then I panicked yesterday, ran out to the store and bought some supplies for a costume.

And then decided shortly before the trick-or-treaters started to arrive that I wasn't going to dress up. In fairness, I tricked out the outside of the house with a skeleton, a light-up ghost and some other stuff to get into the spirit (no pun intended). But no costume for me.

How about you? Did you dress up? And if so, let's hear the costume ideas so I'm prepared for next year.

We have a Halloween costume party to go to tonight. My costume? I'm going as the "Walmart clearance aisle" (a collection of random items selected from the 50% aisle at Walmart)

my friend T just posted her halloween pics on facebook. she went as Rosie the Riveter, and one of her pics was a girl all dressed in gold carrying a shovel.

i thought that one was pretty classic.

last night, after the haunted house, we went to a chinese restaurant and there was the best batman i've ever seen, space ghost, harly quinn, and a series of girls in stripper costumes. or costumes that made them look like strippers.

so are you having a halloween party next year??

I feel like I'm the only person in the world that doesn't get totally excited for Halloween.

We went to a party last night and I was dressed up as a pirate - complete with the sword and knee-hi boots. I was completely jealous of my friends who went as hippies. They looked so comfy in their jeans and tie-died shirts and vests with fringe!

hautepocket, you may be the only one in North America but I can assure you that no one in Australia gives a toss about Halloween, so don't feel too alone! There are whole nations that share your apathy!

I was supposed to go to a party but then me & the Husband both felt sick. So we watched a Korean horror movie and handed out candy to various small children in adorable costumes (and some rather older "young people" in less costume but more threatening).

My costume idea was "Pretty Dolly" - a yellow 50's style dress, silk-flower garland style headband and gold-glitter ballet flats, with precise doll-style makeup. Ah well, it'll keep til next year!
